The years before my spiritual training
Before I began my spiritual training at the age of thirty, I worked for many years in various jobs, including as a car mechanic. Looking back, this time was formative for me and prepared me for my later work as a shaman. There were always teachers and companions, whether I was working in a chip shop, in a call center or as a waiter.
There was always this feeling of support and intensity, even if it wasn’t always successful by society’s standards. As my teacher Kedar Upreti would say: “There’s a time for everything.”
Training in Yoga

My yogic training with Peter Marchand in Belgium. In Peter I found a teacher who taught me Jnana, Bhakti and Tantra Yoga in this traditional way. My spiritual practice was extremely enriched, especially with the teacher giving me a mantra and training me in mantra meditation.
In Gurukul, knowledge is traditionally passed on to the student while living with the teacher. For many years Peter has been offering this authentic transmission of knowledge to students from all over the world.
Initiation as a shaman

Kedar Upreti is a seventh generation shaman in Kathmandu. I am very grateful to have found in him a teacher who freely shares his knowledge and trained me to become a shaman. This technique requires daily meditation and an innate talent.
This rich tradition includes not only effective healing techniques, but also a philosophy for all of life to incorporate more love and beauty. Being a shaman in this tradition fills me with great joy and I hope to enrich the lives of many people.
The special focus of this tradition lies in cooperation and respect for the elements. The purity of the heart plays a central role in Nepal. No matter how dirty we appear on the outside or what mistakes we make when dealing with spiritual energies, it is this purity that matters. At the same time, we are “only” human and subject to desires, wishes and needs.
Since Tantra, the work with energies, is strongly involved here, the needs and desires of the human being are respected just as much as the elements. Everything arises from the elements.
