Process and effect of shamanic healing
Shamanic healing in Cologne combines traditional ritual work with a grounded and transparent approach. I practice in the Nepali shamanic tradition of Kedar Upreti from Kathmandu, a seventh generation shaman, and bring this work to people here in Cologne Germany. The intention is to support energetic clearing, restore balance, and create relief on a personal and spiritual level. If you feel called to this work, you can request an appointment in Cologne or the Cologne area.

What is shamanic healing?
Shamanic healing is a holistic practice that works with ritual, prayer, and energetic clearing. In many traditions it is understood as working with forces of nature, ancestors, and spiritual allies to restore balance and reduce energetic burdens. The focus is not on quick promises, but on creating the conditions for clarity, stability, and relief.
Training and Lineage
My work is rooted in Nepalese shamanism and ritual traditions from Kathmandu. I practice in the lineage of my teacher Kedar Upreti, a seventh generation shaman whose family tradition has been passed down for more than 150 years. Through his guidance, I learned the rituals and healing methods I use today and received permission to practice this work in that tradition.
To deepen my practice, I travel to Nepal once a year for ongoing training. This lineage combines ritual work and tantric knowledge, including mantras, fire based ceremonies, offerings, and techniques for cleansing and stabilizing Kundalini energy. Sessions take place in Cologne, Germany, and appointments in the Cologne area may be possible depending on the request.
When shamanic healing can be helpful

Shamanic healing can be supportive when you feel stuck or burdened and want a deeper form of clearing or realignment. People often come with themes such as:
- Feeling heavy, drained, or blocked
- Repeating patterns in relationships or life situations
- Stress, inner restlessness, or emotional overload
- A sense of negative influence or energetic contamination
- Karmic themes, life cycle transitions, or major decisions
- A wish for blessing, protection, or ritual support
This work is individual and depends on your situation, timing, and tradition.
What happens during a session
Every session is different, but the process is usually structured like this:
- Initial conversation
We clarify your topic, your intention, and whether shamanic healing is suitable at this time. - Ritual work and cleansing
Depending on the situation, the session may include mantra recitation, offerings, a fire based ritual, and techniques for cleansing and stabilizing the system. - Integration and recommendation
We discuss what to observe afterwards and whether another session is useful. In many cases one session is enough, and more than two or three sessions are usually not recommended.
Methods and rituals used
The Nepali tradition I practice may include elements such as:
- Mantra recitation and prayer
- Offerings as a form of respectful exchange
- Fire based ritual work for cleansing and transformation
- Techniques for cleansing and stabilizing Kundalini energy
- Work with elemental forces, regional spirits, and ancestral connections
- Ritual support for karmic themes and life cycle transitions
The exact combination is chosen on site based on your topic and what is appropriate.
How to prepare and what to expect afterwards
On the day of your session, please avoid substances that strongly alter consciousness. Come with a clear intention and wear comfortable clothing.
After a session, people often experience more calm, clarity, or relief. Sometimes there can be a short phase of emotional processing or tiredness. This usually settles naturally. If you have medical symptoms or serious complaints, please consult a medical professional.
Shamanic Healing as a living tradition
By working as a shaman alongside my full-time job, I can offer shamanic healings on a donation basis. In the Nepalese tradition, shamans were primarily farmers and performed shamanic healings without any interest in receiving anything in return. Even though this tradition may seem outdated today, it is very important for me to uphold it without compromise.
I perform the healings on site in Cologne. If you would like a shamanic healing at your location, the travel costs and possible overnight stay would have to be covered. A maximum of five people can attend a healing session. At the same time, I reserve the right to decline requests if a session is not helpful from my point of view at that time.
FAQ
What is shamanic healing?
Shamanic healing is a holistic practice that uses ritual work, prayer, and energetic cleansing to support balance and clarity. It is often understood as working with the elements, ancestral connections, and spiritual allies in order to reduce energetic burdens.
How does a shamanic healing session work in Cologne?
A session usually begins with a short conversation to clarify your topic and intention. The ritual work is then chosen on site and can include mantra recitation, offerings, and cleansing techniques. Afterwards we discuss what to observe and whether a follow up session is useful.
How many sessions are recommended?
In many cases one session is enough to create relief or clarity. More than two or three sessions are usually not recommended, because repeating sessions does not solve every topic and integration is important.
Is shamanic healing a replacement for medical treatment?
No. Shamanic healing does not replace medical or psychological treatment. I do not promise a specific outcome or guarantee healing, and serious symptoms should always be checked by a medical professional.
